for anyone who watches American Idol 6, i bet u'll now hu this is. well, this is melinda doolittle, arguably the most talented contestant to come through on this show (that's what i believe too). i've been won over by her since her auditions. great personality, impeccable vocals.

this was her performance a week back, & i've watched this video like... dozens of times already, but every single time i still get the chills. & psst... i watch this video before all my papers cos it kinda instills a little hope in me. hahaha. a little silly yes...

heres the vid. (stupid blogspot has sth wrong with uploading the vid, so heres the url)

okok i rlly ought to post something already. before i lose all of my readers. right?

well there's nothing much more to talk about other than exams. the papers have come & gone so quickly, sometimes i rlly wonder why we bother to put so much effort into studying for them in the first place. hmmm. food for thought? the general standard for this sem's ppr has certainly been raised, especially mechanics and maths, which practically brought everybody's morale down into a bottomless pit. some other papers were ok, like design, fluids & feedback. but it seems like everybody could do the ppr? so how to get advantage/good grades? lol.

nonetheless, i'm glad i've survived yet another torturous sem. of cos my heartfelt thanks goes out to my NUS buddies, syafiq (nong), gilbert (bert), alex (brother) & raphael (mang/hao peng you). If not for them, i seriously doubt that i could have tolerated for so long, been so studious during the last study break. hoping everybody will do as well as last sem, if not better. it's been a great sem, with our non-stop talk cock sessions which left us laffing harder than studying. n how can i ever forget about our never-ending bio-ing sessions in the central library 6th floor. hurhur. its been fruitful i must say, now that we have officially gotten to know siling & cheryl. (the BEGS meet the BAGS <- private joke) but a tinge of regret still hangs over the fact that i didnt get to talk to my rui en! shucks. when i decided that i should go talk to her, she stopped coming to the library. dont care, nxt sem!

i'm currently still mugging for my last ppr, Genes & Society, which is on friday. 100mcqs in 2hrs, wan to kill us issit? well, the drive to study is understandably not there. but will rlly have to push myself, wont i? focus! & keep my feet on the ground! dats if i do want to push my cap past the 2nd upper mark by this sem. sheesh.

that's all for now. pretty sad that i'm stuck here blogging & mugging, instead of being out there celebrating jasmine's birthday with the others. hmmm. sorry girl. aniwae wishing u a very HAPPY 21st BDAE. =)
