n so ystd another singapore idol contestant's idol dreams came to an end. n sad to say it had to be the contestant with the best vocals. yep dat would be mathilda. how ironic dat is rite? since SI is supposed to be a singing competition. n to make matters worse, the bottom 3 had to be comprised of jon leong, hady & mathilda. guess hus in e "safe" grp? nurul, jasmine n yes... let me hear u scream dat name... JOAKIM.

its like... WTF??????

every week (n i do mean EVERY week) i scratch my head in disbelief, as to who, how and why ppl go to such extent to keep such lousy talent in the comp. hey. wait a min. i dun even tink deres any talent to talk abt. and IF u doubt me in any way, go watch any of the previous episodes of SI. u'll find that not only joakim cant sing for nuts, hes a bloody poser & hmm wad else. he basically sux.

some ppl will complain dat jasmine cant sing either. but hey. shes cute. lol. okok seriously. she may not haf e best voice in e competition, but go back n review her performances from week to week. shes improving. n i mean by leaps n bounds. check out the most recent performance. it was pretty good. shocked qt alot of ppl in fact. AS FOR JOAKIM, he still cant carry a tune even if his life depends on it.

its a sad fact. dat ppl can comment dat our local music scene is either dying or dead. but wad to do? cos its true. theres plenty of talent out there, but yet theres so many useless competitions dat will not showcase the best singapore has to offer. look at the recent superband milopeng. i noe they're good & they've got charisma. but i seriously think dat they'll b a one hit wonder. y? cos they'll only appeal to locals, who will forget them just as soon as another big-scale singing competition comes around. as for overseas, they will never make it, cos they lack exposure (so ppl carn discover their "charisma") & obviously cos their standards aint rlly up to e mark.

ok i'm not like some music guru or wad. i dun even tink i noe music dat well at all. but hey. i'm pretty confident dat i can identify wads good music yeh. n so if u ppl rlly wanna hear some good stuff, check dis out. its called Rockstar: Supernova. its an american show, where some great musicians r lookin for a singer to front their new band called supernova. i guess showing u some great clips will b a bttr way to demostrate good music.
